Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Chaliang, only a
3-minute bike ride from the bus stop, is an impressive Khmer sytle temple complex built in 1237, like a smaller, less crowded
Angkor site. You can climb steep stairs to the top of both the tower and the mound. It's another 10 minutes to cycle to
Si Satchanalai Historical Park.
